Frequently Asked Questions

What is a hook lift bin?

A hook lift bin is a large container designed to be loaded and unloaded by a vehicle using a hydraulic hook system. The entire bin is transported when it is collected.

What hook lift bin sizes are available?

NextGen One has hook lift bins in a range of capacities, including 15 m³, 23 m³,  and 30 m³. The available size is confirmed when we assess your waste, access and service requirements.

What waste can go in a hook lift bin?

Accepted materials depend on the agreed waste stream and disposal pathway. Tell us what material you need collected and we will confirm what can and cannot be placed in the bin.

Can you provide regular bin exchanges?

Regular, project based and on demand services can be discussed. Scheduling is confirmed according to site requirements, service availability and the agreed collection plan.

What access does a hook lift truck need?

The vehicle needs a safe approach, suitable turning and reversing space, a firm placement area and adequate clearance from overhead or surrounding obstructions. We will discuss access before delivery.

Can you service multiple sites?

Yes. Multi-site council and commercial requirements can be assessed as part of a coordinated service plan.

A Practical Solution for High Volume Waste

Hook lift bins are designed for sites that generate larger volumes of waste or bulky materials. The bin remains on site until it is ready for collection, then a hook lift vehicle loads the entire container for transport to an approved facility.

NextGen One can arrange bin delivery, scheduled exchanges and collection services to suit council operations, commercial sites, infrastructure projects and other high-volume requirements. We work with you to confirm the waste type, bin size, access conditions and service schedule before the service begins.

Reliable Capacity Without the Fuss

High Capacity Bins

A practical option for bulky materials and larger waste volumes that are not suited to smaller commercial bins.

Efficient Exchanges

When a bin is ready, it can be collected and exchanged to help keep your operation moving.

Flexible Scheduling

Services can be planned around regular requirements, project stages or on-demand collections, subject to availability.

Clear Service Communication

We focus on practical coordination, timely updates and clear visibility across collection and transport activities.

Hook Lift Bins to Suit Different Waste Volumes

Hook lift bins are available in a range of capacities, including:

  • 15 m³
  • 23 m³
  • 30 m³

The most suitable bin depends on your waste type, expected weight, available space, vehicle access and collection frequency. Bin sizes and availability are confirmed during quotation.

Hook Lift Collection for a Range of Operations

  • Council depots, operational facilities and multi-site programs
  • Community clean-up and bulky-waste programs
  • Commercial and industrial sites
  • Construction and infrastructure projects
  • Waste transfer and recycling operations
  • Ongoing high-volume waste services
  • Project based or temporary waste requirements

Waste Streams Assessed for Each Service

The accepted waste stream is agreed before the bin is delivered. Depending on the site and disposal pathway, hook lift services may be suitable for general waste, bulky waste, construction materials, mattresses, cardboard and other approved materials.

Hazardous, regulated or prohibited materials must not be placed in a hook lift bin unless a specific compliant service has been agreed in writing. Tell us what you need to dispose of and we will confirm the appropriate collection arrangement.

Simple Setup. Dependable Collection.

  1. Tell Us About Your Requirements: Provide the site location, waste type, expected volume, preferred timing and any access restrictions.
  2. We Confirm the Service Plan: We assess the information and recommend a suitable bin size, delivery location and collection arrangement.
  3. Delivery and Placement: The bin is delivered to the agreed position, with safe and practical access for the hook lift vehicle.
  4. Collection or Exchange: When the bin is ready, we collect it for transport or exchange it with an empty bin, depending on the agreed service.
  5. Service Records: Collection records, photographs, weighbridge tickets or other reporting can be provided where required by the service arrangement.

Plan Safe Access Before Delivery

Hook lift vehicles require enough room to reverse, align, load and unload the bin safely. Before delivery, please tell us about:

  • Site operating hours and access arrangements
  • Gates, security controls or booking requirements
  • Surface condition and the proposed bin position
  • Overhead structures, trees, powerlines or other obstructions
  • Turning space and any narrow access points
  • Pedestrian, public or vehicle movements near the service area
  • Any site induction or personal protective equipment requirements

Waste must remain within the bin, the load must be suitable for safe transport and only the agreed waste stream may be placed in the container.
